This collection of photos has been hanging in our office for some time.  Finally got around to scanning them into a digital format.  This is the personal residence of our Founder and President, John Ahern, that he designed and built over 50 years ago in Savannah, Georgia.  I've always thought it was a cool looking home.  It was featured in the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) Journal of Homebuilding in 1956-1957. 

I can't help but notice how some styles come back into popular favor.  The modern, sleek look of this home is strikingly similar to some recent design trends in both new single family and multifamily projects throughout the country.  Some interesting features include translucent kitchen cabinet panels, built in oven and washing machine (?), Split-level living room with serpentine walls, custom designed fireplace, hardwood paneling, indoor planters, bay windows and skylights.
