John W. Ahern, President and founder of Advance Builders, began building homes in Savannah, Georgia in 1948. He brings with him over sixty years of experience in the field of real-estate development, commercial construction, and homebuilding. John started building in the Charleston area in 1967 in Goose Creek. Since that time, he has built over 3,000 homes and developed 6 residential subdivisions and 4 multi-family residential projects throughout South Carolina including Greenville, Spartanburg, Columbia, Myrtle Beach and Charleston. Specific projects in the Charleston area in the recent past have included building in Lakeshore, Fairway Place, Charleston National, Wild Dunes, Hidden Lakes, Park West, Dunes West, Snee Farm, and Brickyard.
